Cookie & Ads Policy

Last updated: November 2026 · Every byte we keep in your browser, and every ad rule that applies here - written to be read, not to hide.

The one-line version

We set strictly necessary first-party storage only, we never track you across other sites, and our ads run non-personalised BY DEFAULT - Google only personalises an ad if you explicitly choose that, and you can change your mind at any time.

1. What "cookies" means here

"Cookies" is shorthand for everything a website keeps in your browser: classic HTTP cookies, plus localStorage entries (small text records that stay on your device and are never sent to us unless a feature needs them). Xecute.finance is a single app in your browser - we do not embed social widgets, comment plugins, analytics beacons or any third-party tracker of our own.

2. First-party storage - the complete, honest list

These are set by Xecute.finance itself, used only to make the platform work, and never sold or shared:

xf_session - your sign-in cookie (httpOnly, scripts cannot read it). Only set if you create an account.

xf_auth_token - your signed-in token in local storage, so the app remembers you between visits. Only with an account.

xf_device_id - a random anonymous ID created in your browser. Powers the free AI daily limit and anonymous traffic counts. Contains nothing about you.

xf_bookmarks - your saved stories. Stays on your device.

xf_supporter_code - your ₹29 unlock code, if you bought one.

xf_ad_consent - your ads choice (personalised / non-personalised). Section 4 below.

Preferences - feed view (xf-feed-mode), chat tone & mode (xf_chat_tone, xf_chat_mode), quiz streak & points (xf_quiz_*), your chosen profession label (xf_profession, xf_stat_profession), splash-seen (xf_splash_seen) and a few one-time-notice flags (xf_feedback_sent, xf_profession_asked, xf_chat_disclaimer_ok).

Clearing your browser storage removes all of the above and nothing breaks permanently - the platform simply treats you as a fresh reader (your streaks and bookmarks restart on that device).

3. Third-party cookies - the only one: Google AdSense

Advertising is what keeps Xecute free, and it is served by Google AdSense. When ads run, Google and its partners may set their own cookies on your browser - that part is under Google's control, and it is governed by Google's policies, not ours. What IS under our control, and enforced in code on every ad slot: until you explicitly choose personalised ads, every ad request is sent with the non-personalisation flag set (NPA), so ads are picked without a profile of your browsing.

Google's own use of advertising cookies (and how it uses data from this site when you do opt in): see Google's guide at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

4. Your ad choice - how it works, how to change it

On your first visit you get ONE clear question: personalised ads, or non-personalised ads. Dismissing the question counts as choosing non-personalised - we never treat silence as consent for profiling. Your choice is stored only in your browser (xf_ad_consent), and every ad slot honours it in real time - change your mind and the very next ad request follows the new choice.

Changed your mind? Clear this site's storage in your browser settings and the question reappears - or use the industry opt-outs: adssettings.google.com, youronlinechoices.eu (EU/UK), aboutads.info/choices (US).

5. Ads on a news platform - our placement promise

Ads here follow three hard rules: they never sit on top of, overlap or disguise content; they are clearly separated from editorial text; and there are no pop-ups, no auto-playing video walls and no ads between you and a headline. Surfaces where advertising would damage the product - the AI chat desk and the founder's admin dashboard - carry no ads at all. If you ever see an ad that misleads or overshadows content, report it: xecutefinance@gmail.com (subject "Report") - it gets actioned within 36 hours.

6. Do Not Track & browser signals

There is nothing to opt out of at our end: we run no cross-site tracking of our own, so a browser "Do Not Track" signal changes nothing about our first-party behaviour. Google's ad cookies are governed by the opt-outs in section 4. Global Privacy Control signals, where browsers send them, are honoured by our default non-personalised stance.
